This module came into being during the course of the DHS-IV phase, but was not considered part of the core questionnaire. However, it appeared often enough that core variables were created in the recode dictionary for them and routines for recoding them from the regular core questions were written. Therefore, while the module exists, there is no questionnaire for it. The variables mirror those as finalized in the DHS-V phase, and fields such as question text, universe, and source of info that are found within the Documentation tab sheet of the Variables section are all taken from the DHS-V. If the maternal mortality module was used for a given country, a check should be made to ensure that all variables as listed here were used.
